Smoky Java(coffee)

I had some of our smoky Java coffee yesterday. I sometimes have it at home but I don’t make it the proper way. I use a normal coffee- maker but I had some of the proper staff at our cafe yesterday. The taste was really fantastic! It really suits the cold weather, I think.

Lunch event

There’s a lunch event in Kaijin tomorrow Neil’s making a delicious English lunch from the starter to a cup of coffee.

Hello, everybody!

Today was the kid’s lessons day. Although it was really freezing they were so energetic!

During the lessons, they said “Please stop the heater! It’s too hot!” One of them surprisingly said ” I feel too hot! Can I open the windows?”

「ネイルを新しくしたらブログに載せてね♪」と何人かの生徒さんに言って頂けるので、お言葉に甘えてまた載せちゃいま～す♪♪♪

テーマは「雪の結晶」

雪の結晶は暗い青ベースとかが映えるので、やる時は青で考えるのですが、最近青ベースでネイルをしていたので、気分を変えてあま～い感じでピンクにしてみました。

可愛い感じにするとすぐに皆さんが反応してくれます。早くも何人かの方に「ネイル可愛いですね！」とお褒めのお言葉を頂きました（満足げな自分）

テーマは、「見れなかったオーロラ」

冬休みに入ってすぐに、アラスカのフェアバンクスにオーロラを一生に一度は見たくて行ったのですが、あいにく曇り空が続いたり、南の空は晴れても北の空に雲が流れてしまったり、自分がオーロラ観測ポイントにつく30分前にオーロラが出て、着く頃にはなくなっていたり・・・

悔しい事に見ることが出来なかったのです。

だから、旅行中は入院中？って言うぐらいに、よくベッドの上で寝てました。

そんな思いをネイルする時に、寒い冬空＝暗い青で見れなかったオーロラに似せた感じでシルバーのラメをしゅうぅ～っと線で表現ということで、しました。このネイルはブログに載せていなかったので、お会いした方には・・・

生徒さん「あ！ネイル新しくしたんだね！見せて！」

Misato「はい。テーマは見れなかったオーロラです。」

生徒さん「あ～～～。・・・・・・・」

という会話を何回かいろんな方としました。面白いことにオーロラを見れなかった事を知っている生徒さんのネイルの反応は、ほとんどの皆さんが「あ～～～・・・・・・・・・」だったんです。

きっと私も生徒さん側の立場だったら、同じ反応をするんだと思います。

Zoo!

I went to Ueno Zoo on Sunday-it was quite cold but sunny as well so not too freezing. I really enjoyed watching the penguins and polar bears and it was nice to walk in the park afterwards as well. Last time I went to Ueno in the summer, I couldn’t see the polar bears it was so crowded! Are there any other good zoos to visit locally or further away in Japan?

Leek and Potato Soup

Last month, we held a combined ‘chat while you cook’ lesson, a new event for us. We made leek and potato soup. Fortunately, the soup turned out quite well, I think, and we enjoyed eating it very much , so if you’d like to join, feel free to contact the school.

Petrol station

Hello, everybody!

Today is really freezing, isn’t it?

Because of this weather, I find our kerosene runs out so quickly! Today, when I was filling the tank of our heater, unexpectedly the kerosene ran out, which made me think to myself ” What? Already?” so I had to go to a petrol station. When I got there, there were so many people waiting to get kerosene!

I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Kid’s umbrella!

Hello, everybody!

A couple of days ago, the weather was terrible, wasn’t it? On that day, I saw the funniest sight I have ever seen!

Before I let you know about it, I should introduce the person who was cast as the lead in this story. It was Neil, who is our school principal.

He’s well-educated, so he’s the one who wrote all the pages in our course books. He’s also the lead keyboard player in the English Village Band. He’s the one who organises the structure of our live shows and writes songs. He looks quite serious. For all that, on that day, when he arrived at the Kinshicho school, he said “Hello, it’s freezing, isn’t it?” Misato and I said ” Yes”and looked at his umbrella, which was obviously a very vivid yellow small kid’s umbrella!! I said ” What’s that kid’s umbrella?” He said ” I couldn’t find any decent ones. I could only find this one so there was no choice!” I just couldn’t help bursting out laughing cos I couldn’t help picturing him using that kid’s umbrella with a perfectly serious look on his face!

At night, when I thought back on it, I laughed about it again and again!

トイレットペーパーの行き先

Misato「あのぉ～、あのぉ～～～～、謝らなければならないことがあります。悪気はなかったんです。ごめんなさい。」

Miki「どうしたんですか？」

Misato、Mikiをトイレに連れて行く・・・・・

そして、洗面所で濡れたトイレットペーパーを見たMikiは、

Miki「あ～！うあっはははは！どはははは！」

Misato「トイレットペーパーの替えを出そうとして、洗面所の上の棚からトイレットペーパーの袋を左手に持ち、右手でトイレットペーパの替えを持ち、左手の袋を片手で上の棚に戻そうとしたら、袋からトイレットペーパーが落ちてきて、私の頭をポーンと打って、あそこに落ちたの！！」

Miki「便器！！！！」

Misato「悪気はなかったし、まだ使用中の水の中ではないんだけど、１ロール無駄にしてしまってごめんなさい。資源を無駄にしてしまいました。」 

Miki「Misatoさんブログにのせましょーよ！ほら、写真とって下さい。」

Misato「え～、、、くだらないからいいよぉ」

Mikiは構わずにトイレットペーパーを外に置く。

Miki「ここで写真いいですか？」
