Yakudoshi!

Hello, everybody!

I went to a shrine with my friend yesterday as my age is supposed to be unlucky this year(Yakudoshi). I didn’t believe in it-well , I still don’t, but some of my friends insisted on my going to a shrine or temple to do ‘Yakuyoke’ so I went. It was really freezing!!!!!!

It’s been really really chilly, hasn’t it?

I went to see one of my cousins in Saitamashintoshin last weekend.

I thought it was colder than my area!

Anyway, we had a New Year’s party which was fun!

Today was so chilly, wasn’t it?

When I went back home, I really wanted to relax in a warm room but, typical! The kerosene had run out! So I had to go to a petrol station , which was so troublesome but I did it anyway. On top of that, it was very expensive!!! 1470yen for 18L !!! Well, it can’t be helped but anyway, I miss English central heating in this kind of weather!

What kind of Xmas holiday did you have?

Our teachers went back to England. Our principal also went back to England. According to them, the sky was mostly grey and dark and it was chilly!!!

But they enjoyed eating Xmas dinner. Apparently, they felt it quite troublesome to go through the new system of finger printing in Narita airport, but they were very very happy to see the blue sky so as you can see, they enjoy living in Japan.

As for me, I relaxed on a tropical Island!! I enjoyed playing sports and watching the wonderful ocean!!!

Our Xmas parties!

Happy New Year, everybody!

Our Xmas parties were very successful! The last one in particular was an absolute gas so afterwards, the band members and some of our close friends had a party to celebrate the four shows we played together. It was really really good fun and went on till 6 in the morning!

Kids’Xmas Party in Kinshicho

Our kids’ Xmas party took place in Kinshicho today.

We played many differnt kinds of kid’ games, which the children really enjoyed!! Actually, I enjoyed them too. The kids were so cute!!! I think their mothers enjoyed themselves too!

Last X mas Party in Kaijin!!

Hello, everybody! We had a good time in the last X mas Party in Kaijn again!

いつも、お酒なんかあんまり飲まないような生徒さんがクイッっとワイン一気に飲んで、楽しんでたり、バンドの演奏に感動してくれた人や感動してくれた人、ビンゴになかなか当らず、苦やしがっていた人、英語がいっぱい話せて満足だった人、話せなくて、もうーもっとしっかり英語やろうーと言ってた人、アットホームな雰囲気の中楽しみました！今週からは、錦糸町２週連続です！どんなパーティーになるのでしょうか？楽しみです！みんな、参加していただいた方は、参加してよかったと言って頂いたので、私達もほっとしています！

みなさんが普段絶対味わえないようなパーティーにしようと心がけているので、是非、ご興味のある方は、お気軽にご参加してくださいね！

Our Xmas Parties!!!

Hello, everybody!

We really enjoyed our Xmas party in Kaijin last week! But we want to enjoy more!

誰でも参加ＯＫですので、是非是非、私達と一緒に楽しいクリスマスパーティーを過ごしましょう！

先週は、初めてのお披露目演奏だったので、バンドﾒﾝﾊﾞｰはけっこう緊張していましたね。特に、学長ニールは緊張していました。前も、書いた通り、人前で演奏するのは苦手なので。。でも、緊張を跳ね飛ばして、みんな楽しんでＰｌａｙできました！

パーティーに参加された方からは、とても楽しんで頂いたと言って頂けました!!!

明日（海神）、15日（錦糸町）、22日（錦糸町）まだまだパーティー行いますので、是非、ご参加して下さい！

English Village Band!!!

Hello, everybody!

As Misato wrote we practised for ages last Sunday for Xmas parties, so let me introduce the band members.

On keyboard: Our principal Neil. He’s been working on making music so hard! His hobby is playing the piano and reading. He started playing the piano when he was a child. I think he’s a great pianist but he’s the sort of person who prefers to help behind the scenes!

On guitar: Hiro!!! His real job is solid work! He’s a really fantasitic guitarist. He’s just beyond belief! His technique is like that of a professional, I think. He’s a very interesting man. He’s a great guitarist but at the same time, he likes going fishing! But his main job is solid work!

On keyboard: Misato. She’s the English Village receptionist. Her hobby is going to  rock concerts and beauty therapy. She also can tell you a lot about fashion! She’s a marvellous pianist too. She graduated from a music university. Oh, actually, her mum is a piano teacher! By the way, she’s a realist. She’s just the opposite of me so she supports me in many ways.

On bass: Nomochan. He’s a graphic designer. If I have to describe him in one word, he’s very unique. He admires “SAMURAI” sprit so he wears a kimono or Yukata when he’s at home. However, he plays football very well!!! He’s a very interesting man.

On vocals: It’s me. Mina! I do take care not to catch cold before the parties! Oh, I’ll intruduce myself. I’m the deputy principal of the English Village and I write mail magazines. My hobby is sports. I’m always “GENKI”!! When you feel down, you’d better come and see me. I’ll give you some energy!
