月曜日に「三鷹の森ジブリ美術館」に行ってきました。この美術館は日時指定の予約制で空きのある時でなければ入ることが出来ないのです。

いざ出陣！！

受付に行き天井を見上げると一面にフレスコ画があり、色鮮やかで素敵です。　中央ホールはB１Fから２Fまでの吹き抜けの広々とした空間になっています。木のぬくもりがあり館内の至る所にあるステンドグラスが光を通し床にカラフルに映り綺麗でした。　常設展示室ではアニメーションが出来るまでの作業、フィルムで動き出すまでの軌跡の展示…どれも見入ってしまいました。　他にも図書閲覧室、ショップ、子供だけが楽しめるねこバスの部屋…らせん階段を登ると屋上に庭園があり巨大なロボット兵が立っています。館内では写真が撮れないのでここでﾊﾟｼｬﾘ、ラピュタの文字が記された四角い石もﾊﾟｼｬﾘ。　

ウンウン…ジブリ最高。

今度、久石 譲のCDを買おうと思います。

美術館自体は大きくないのでちょっとした時間に行けてお勧めスポットです。是非一度!

Shortcrust Pastry

I made some shortcrust pastry today. It was a case of ‘third time lucky’. The first time I tried, the pastry came out like leather. The second time, it had oily patches on it. This time, however, it turned out really well. I used it to make a chicken and mushroom pie. The trouble is, I forgot to add any herbs, so the result was slightly bland, but at least the pastry was okay.

卒業シーズン

もうすぐ卒業の時期を迎えますね。卒業式に思いを込めて唄った歌は「蛍の光」でしょうか。日本人の心に響く歌詞で、ついジーンときてしまうこの歌、もともとはスコットランド民謡なんですね。お店の閉店とともに流れる曲としてすっかり定着しているこのメロディの意外なルーツでした。はるか昔、私が幼稚園の卒園式に歌ったのは「おもいでのアルバム」です。♪い～つのことだか～　という出だしのところで、先生も父兄も泣いてしまったそうです。別れの季節は悲しいですが、懐かしい思い出でもあります。

Music Waffle

The most recent live band I’ve seen was Franz Ferdinand, last November at Tokyo Koksai Forum. They were great, very punky/energetic. I pogoed (very) mildly. I would have liked to see Lady GaGa when she’s in Japan but her current dates are sold out-maybe next time! On the CD front, have really been enjoying The Bravery ‘Stir the Blood’, Soundtrack of Our Lives ‘Communion’ and Mutemath ‘Armistice’. And looking forward to new ones from Supergrass, Interpol and The Strokes. The Julian Casablancas (Strokes lead singer) solo album is fantastic too. I  was also really pleased to pick up the latest New York Dolls album for 300 Yen at the weekend, a new import copy-was lucky to spot a CD sale when out shopping . Bargain! As always-too much music, too little time!

休日の過ごし方

起床→洗濯→掃除→食料調達→録画番組見まくり→風呂→消灯

これです！

なんて有意義なんでしょう！！！！！

あっ、食事はテレビを見ながらテキトウニ・・・

Kids passed the exams!

Most of the kids students passed their Japanese English Examination, which made me so happy!
I was very excited to hear the results. I think my reaction was much bigger than theirs!
They looked pretty calm! I thought I didn’t know which one was the adult!!

But they were very happy to see me so glad about their results!!!

住宅地のたぬき

先日、我が家の愛犬ポッキーさんの夜の散歩に行こうとしたら自宅の門の前を横切る白っぽい生き物。「ネコか？」いや、もっとまるまるとしていたような…

ポッキーさんの様子もおかしい…

散歩が終わり自宅の門を閉めたその瞬間さっきの白っぽい生き物がポンポンッと駆けていきました。「ポンポンッ？何だあれは？」

それを見て大興奮したポッキーさんをなんとか家に入れ、庭に行ってみると遠くに見えるフカフカとまるい体と尾っぽ… もう少しよく見ると暗くてはっきりとは分からなかったのですが黒いメガネをかけている様な顔…

「なんだこれ!可愛いじゃないかー!!」　ｲﾔｲﾔ　「タヌキだ!!!」

急いでお父さんを呼びに行き２人で見に行くと、じっとこちらの様子を窺っていました。

それ以来あのタヌキの様な生き物を見ていません。

バナナで健康に！

近所の八百屋さんで“バナナ１００円”の文字に魅かれて山盛りのバナナを買いました。そのままでももちろん美味しいですが、バナナのバターソテーもお勧めです。フライパンにバターを溶かして少しとろけるくらいにバナナを焼き、レモン汁と仕上げにシナモンパウダーをふりかければ出来上がり！バナナは栄養価が高く、完全食と言われる優等生なので寝坊してしまった朝などに私はよく作ります。シナモンは体を温めたり消化を助ける働きがあり、また風邪対策にも効くようですので、どうぞお試しください。

Olympics

I’ve been watching the winter olympics from Vancouver. I really like the ski jump-I could never imagine doing it myself (I’m definitely unsporty!) but really enjoy watching some sports. I like the pole vault in the olympics as well, so definitely seem to like height related sports for some reason. The Japan-Korea football match on Sunday was interesting as well-two red cards; I couldn’t understand why the Japanese player got sent off at all.

Flamenco

I started to go to flamenco lessons 3 weeks ago.
I really wanted to learn! It’s absolutely new world for me so it’s very exciting to learn!!!
I think learning new things is good for me cos I can improve myself in many ways and I can see things from a student’s point of view during the lessons, which is instructive for my career!
